INDEPENDENCE DAY
The 64th Independence Day was celebrated with
much fanfare at Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar on
13th August 2010. The students from all the
departments participated with great gusto and with a
feeling of patriotism.
The programme started with
The Principal Mr. Arvind Bhatia’s address in which he
motivated the students to overcome their weaknesses and
surge forward as confident and self reliant individuals.
The children of the
Primary department presented a patriotic song and dance
urging everyone to respect their freedom and to be careful
about not taking wrong decisions in life.
Uday Khanna of the Middle
department presented a poem by Ram Dhari Singh Dinkar
seeped with the spirit of patriotism & bravery. The
programme continued with a medley of patriotic song (Chak-
de- India) presented by the orchestra group of Middle &
Secondary department.
A fusion of Indian and
Western dance was presented by the children followed by a
patriotic song to go with the flavour of Independence Day.
The Tiny tots provided a
fitting end to the colourful programme with a skit
depicting the free spirit of Independent India.
Satrarambh 2010
A special assembly was held to commemorate “Satrarambh”-the beginning of the new session.
The auspicious lamp was lit by the principal Mr.Arvind Bhatia,the Vice Principal Mrs.Raman,Head mistress Mrs.Vandana Ghai nad Mrs.S.Bhasin.This ceremony was accompanied by the school choir who sang “Saraswati Vandana’ to invoke the blessings of the Goddess of learning on the start of the new session.
The Principal addressed the students welcoming them to the new academic year and informing them about the introduction of the 5 day academic week.
He stressed that they should use Saturdays for self-study.He told all the students to keep in mind that sports and academic go hand in hand and that all students will get an opportunity to explore adventure activities for a week at a time at Solan,H.P. turn by turn.
The Principal stressed the fact that apart from swimming,one major sport has to be learnt by every student.He concluded by stressing the fact that everyday should be planned for.
