ANNUAL DAY 2011

            The Annual Day and Prize Distribution Ceremony was held at Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar, Ghaziabad on 18th Nov’11. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest Prof. S. P. Gautam, Chairman, Central Pollution Control Board, Sh. R. K. Gupta, Chairman & Secretary CES and other eminent dignitaries who graced the occasion. The welcome address was delivered by Sh. R. K. Gupta.
            The Chief Guest while addressing the august gathering congratulated the students on the relevance of their presentation with the emphasis on ‘Taking care of Mother Earth’. His message of judicious consumption of Earth’s resources for a sustainable and healthy environment was well received by one & all.
            The Annual Report was presented by the Principal Mr. A. Bhatia, highlighting the achievements of the students and the new milestones achieved. Special mention was made about the school being conferred the International School Activity Award by the British Council and the ongoing Fulbright Scholarship exchange programme under the aegis of the U.S. Academy for Educational Development. He emphasized on the school motto which is to strive for perfection and to be better and better.
            The enthralling performance by the children mesmerized the audience. Guru Mahima – a Musical prelude was a harmonious medley adulating the guru in Rag Yaman offering a tribute cum homage to the gurus’ of all ages.
            The tiny tots of the Montessori Dept. won over one and all through their performance in the ballet titled ‘Hamari Pyaari Duniya’; the world seen through the eyes of the little ones, a world full of wonder; where the colours of the rainbow, the animal kingdom etc. hold untold secret. So one should learn to treasure and nurture the gifts of nature.
            The highlight of the evening was the dance-drama “Abhirupa”, highlighting the importance of the wondrous creation of God – Woman, the one who gives life, who nurtures life and sustains it too – in essence, the MOTHER: Aadi Shakti, Stree Shakti.
            The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. J. C. Ajmani, Executive Director, CES; Secretary-Manager, Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar.
